Oksana is a Taurus (her chart), and even though I cannot find a birth time for her, the Moon resides in the sign of Aquarius for that day.

Moon in Aquarius individuals can be rather cool and detached emotionally. Quite independent, they do not like being tied down. Yet, in their own detached way they can be committed, as long as they have a lot of space. They can have an eccentric and “out there” personality.

Look at her Sun in Taurus in a close conjunction with Saturn! This is a very driven, persistent, hard working, ambitious woman. She craves to be recognized and successful. This may have to do with a strong need for love and to be loved, perhaps stemming from a difficult life growing up. She can be very hard on herself and prone to bouts of depression.

Her Mars and Venus in Gemini exude a sexy and flirtatious nature. This air sign can reel them in but become rather flighty when things get too close emotionally.

Her strong Venus/ Neptune aspect gives her an alluring charm and sexiness, like listening to hypnotic harp music that draws you in closer and closer… she can lure you to her like the Sirens lured in the sailors. * (see below)

So is she trying to exploit Mel with tapes of his violent behavior? Is she using extortion?…. Let’s look further at her natal chart and current transits.

Oksana has mostly the elements air and earth in her chart. So she values material and financial security, and would like indulging herself in the finer material comforts of life. Her air signs keep her connected to people who can provide the security she needs.

Neptune is loosely connected with her Mercury (the planet of communication, the mind, the messenger and also the trickster) … With Neptune she may not be on the up and up about all of her accusations, the tapes being a very skillful maneuver (Sun/Saturn combo) to make certain she covers every base to get the most of any financial settlement…. And having a baby sure helps to ensure a money load of legally obligated child support from one of the riches men in Hollywood.

Her Aquarian Moon (depending on exact birth time) appears quite close to Mel’s Venus – an aspect that would certainly denote a strong sexual chemistry between them. And one that may have gotten them romantically linked in the first place.

I mentioned in the last week’s blog that with her Uranus on his Moon, she can spark volatile emotions in him. She knows how to push his buttons, and how to trigger jealously. I am not sure she ever saw this union as anything long term …. She saw the advantages of hooking up with one of the riches men in Hollywood; she got him at the right time and knew how to play him.

Her Pluto is sitting right on his IC (and of course in opposition to his MC) not to mention her Pluto and Uranus falling very close to his Moon (phew!!!). She could certainly cause intense emotional upheaval in his personal and public life, and his movie career which already seems to be coming unraveled. She could destroy him financially as well as emotionally and ruin his reputation in Hollywood. If she chooses to do so…. Her Pluto very powerfully impacts his chart – she can use it to either heal or destroy….

However, Saturn, the lord of karma, is approaching her natal Uranus. Saturn will call to task any behavior that is not of the highest intention and integrity. Will she be reprimanded for behavior that was contrived out of a rebellious and ego centric agenda?

Searching all the tabloid news on this ex couple, I happen to read a comment that Oksana’s dentist is uncertain if her damaged veneers were the result of Mel or self inflicted…. Hmmm….

So while Mel is a long way from being out of the woods and will continue experiencing emotional turmoil, career upheaval, and financial jolts and losses, the good news is any false accusations that are brought out during this time will come to light.  Like extortion??

…. now that is some heavy karma I would not want on my plate!

Seems poor Mel has had a stroke of bad luck the past several months, with women, his career, his temper and his finances. His natal chart shows he has his Moon conjoined with Saturn in the intense sign of Scorpio, indicating a man with a lot of repressed anger and rage.

In an interview in 2006 with Diane Sawyer he revealed: “I’ve been angry all my life. … And I try not to have it manifest itself. I can get really mad. … I can murder inanimate objects.”

I have always liked Mel Gibson and this is no slam on him. There are many good things I could say about him. But at this time I am just focusing on what is currently happening in his life. And it is not a good time for Mel, unfortunately. Even though he may be accused of being abusive, I don’t buy into all the accounts circulating about him and his ex Oksana.

And look at his current transits! He is being hit hard with the biggie planets – Saturn, Uranus and Pluto (yes, Neptune too but there is enough here to just let Neptune wander as I write this).

Uranus at the MC (Midheaven) is causing all sorts of public upheavals in pretty much every area of his life. His behavior has caused him to be dropped by a major Hollywood agent, and he could be in big legal trouble.

Many agents and producers are no longer supporting him due to his recent accusations of abuse regarding his estranged lover Oskana, the mother of his 9 month old daughter Lucia.

And adding fuel to the fire, Uranus is in exact opposition to his natal Moon, causing him to have emotional outbursts, erratic behavior and what I would believe to be an inevitable emotional meltdown.

With Saturn currently right on this natal Moon, it is all about hard issues and struggles with women, hmm, and lessons to learn about this… with Saturn, it’s all about lessons…

Not only is he going through stressful court proceedings regarding his divorce from Robyn, his wife of 28 years, but also custody and abuse charges with his ex lover Oksana. And with Saturn on his Moon, it is often and indication of a hard financial hit, and some big losses there. Ouch!

With Pluto currently in his 6th house of health, I would be concerned about serious health issues resulting from all the stress and turmoil he has been going through. I assume he still smokes and not sure how good he is with diet and exercise. Maybe, at least give up the cigarettes for now, Mel!

About the time transiting Pluto squared his natal Moon in 2009, his wife Robyn, probably had just had enough and finally filed for divorce…. With Pluto she just could not take it anymore, a powerful indicator that she had the strength to file for divorce. Here is a woman who always seemed to protect him of the many accusations of his aggressive and crazy behavior, but with Pluto she had to let go of the dying marriage and face the truth for her own sanity and peace.

Mel would be a very emotional individual as Cancer is his rising sign. The Moon is the ruler of Cancer and the Moon is highly activated in his chart now. We are seeing a very moody, volatile and emotional Mel. Yet, with his heavy emphasis on Cancer, I have no doubt he has always been and continues to be a wonderful father who loves his children. Family life must be very important to him.

I do not have Oksana’s complete birth data, but I do know she is a Taurus. That her Saturn squares his Venus is certainly not a sign of a loving couple in heavenly bliss… she may not be the “affectionately in love with Mel girl” she portrayed herself to be. More on that later…

And Mel’s Mars in Scorpio opposes her Mercury in Taurus so the verbal stabs and slaps are anything but peaceful. She feels she has to verbally defend herself against his vicious verbal and possibly physical attacks. However, she may be the one who initially knows how to drive him over the edge.

And with Oksana’s Uranus on his Moon… oh my, this is a very volatile emotional combination in which Mel may feel she is a cold fish, aloof and brings out volatile emotions in him as she cannot fulfill his emotional needs…

If I were their astrologer, I would certainly have pointed out the intense volatility in their chart interactions. Looking at Mel’s transits alone (not even mentioning his revealing marital and partnership upheaval this year from his solar return chart) I would have suggested he do anything but get involved in another relationship at this time!

I would have advised them to move SLOWLY…….. but Mel’s Mars in sex driven Scorpio wants what he wants and the needs of his lower extremities blinded his logical brain functions (seems to be a common occurrence in men?). And the consequences that come out of it is a massive amount of financial loss for him, his reputation ruined in Hollywood, his health suffering as well as his public image, and an innocent baby girl that will be affected for her whole life…

Oh, but Oksana, the lovely Taurus, is she really an innocent victim or perhaps the ultimate gold digger who baited him, reeled him in hook, line and sinker, and then threw him back in the water, an injured fish struggling to survive… Stayed tuned for next week’s blog on this one!
